Two things: despite some signs of an opening looks like hasidic vote went overwhelmingly for cuomo. This is its own dynamic. but for the affluent non-Hasidic the alternative information reality solidified by 2 years of genocide denial is huge

Here's another bit of conventional wisdom Zohran completely blew away: His speech was at well above a 10th-grade level. It was complex, erudite, punctuated by deep and fluent references. You don't have to condescend to voters with baby talk! Part of re-establishing norms is speaking like an adult.

As a professor I will say I don’t fear getting political but I don’t feel at all confident about teaching media literacy in meaningful ways right now. One issue is that students but a lot of weight on texts we share, so showing something To show why it’s bad often backfires

I'm a nobody so I can say this outloud: Zohran is wonderful, running a positive campaign but part of the joy is that seeing Cuomo fall reminds us that all petty tyrants fall, whether from elections, prisons, revolutions or the big sleep. Bullies out of power remind us there are really are no kings.
