Note that he cancelled 94 million pounds of food aid. Food banks are hurting. His greedy grasping for more gross grift needs to be seen in light of strangling the food supply for the poorest Americans. Disgusting.

It is unacceptable to throw up our hands. Americans are privileged compared to the Serbians, Georgians, South Koreans and other countries protesting the past year. American exceptionalism is a problem-we are not owed anything-like the rest of the world, we may have to fight for democracy.

Chileans, Serbians, South Africans, Ethiopians, Romanians, and every country colonized by Europe repelled their authoritarian leadership. Americans are just as capable of using non-violent means to restore democracy. We overcame fascism before in the Jim Crow South. We can do this again.

SCOTUS is set to up end voting rights, destroying the work of the civil rights movement. The GOP is itching for a return to Jim Crow. How are Democrats going to respond. States can allow incarcerated people vote. Only Vermont and Maine currently do. 2 million people are currently incarcerated.
