This is actually significant: Trump, huge bigot though he is, genuinely likes the idea that he has minority support; it comes up again and again and again and is not obviously trolling.
It makes it rather easy to tell which initiatives come from his handlers, not him.

Here's how his approval has changed, according to Civiqs—who work with Atlantic, NPR, etc.
Their Trump approval meter is updated daily and shows a slow slide from 45 to 40 since inauguration.
Compare with support for abolishing ICE: from Jan to Jul, 25% role to 39%, then held firm. Will Oct move it?

Surely some of ICE too. But most obviously, these are also the kind seen in the Young Repubs group chat that was exposed yesterday.
There is no better time than now to expose them and try to do something about them, while some Rs are still caught flatfooted and trying to disavow them.

The clip is just 13 seconds long too, so it's a very intentional thing. We've got a Nazi government.
