So, as some of you have noticed, I have stopped working on Beastie Trials. I have moved on to another project but here's the final build of the game you guys want to play what I created. I hope you have fun and there will be bugs.

Okay made some changes, the character info screen now detects what characters you have in your team so you can properly pull up their information. One last page to block in for the pause menu then its time to move on to the next thing.

More Pause screen things, working on the character info page its going well, but man I really am fighting to stay focused on this. Working on UX/UI is not fun at all to me. 😔

Got the initial concept for the pause menu in, will add actual page flipping to the book pages and some Iconography to the little bookmark tabs later in development. overall really happy with this menu.

Doing some main menu things, so much of this is place holder, and I'm going to have to figure out a way to put the UI directly on the book, but that's a problem for another day.

worked on the camera today, added some damping when you jump, some camera lag when you use any boost, a wall running camera, and when you gain high speeds the camera zooms out farther so you can see easier. i will add speed lines at some point lol.

Coded in a special jump that can be done if you time your jump with either the landing animation or the running animation. man, having a character that has to jump for most of her movements has been a struggle to animate, but at least she's slowly coming together.

its not really all that important to me, thanks for the input though.
I see what you mean, but I don't think I want to go through changing that, because this is a speed based game so eventually as you get higher speeds it may always feel like she's sliding a little bit.
Still working on animations, but I finally got a running animation that feels like she's taking long jumps instead of running. might add little smear vfx on the arms. over all really happy with this animation.

Still have quite a bit to do, but today I got the initial shape for the pony tail and added a controller bone with some shape keys. Still need to add some extra geometry to the back of the head so it looks nicer. but its cool that it just works so that's nice lol.

Gonna be working on nothing but model and rig things, and I decided I wanted the main team to put their hair up in a ponytail when they fight, this is still early but it is doable with some positioning, shape keys, drivers and some additional weight painting fixes.

Been drawing my characters a lot lately, it's nice to step away from 3D for a bit and go back to traditional art. I miss this 😭
I love the look! The extra detail on the fur is a really nice touch to her model.
this same thing is happening to me i thought my gpu just gave out there for a second. they really need to fix this issue.
I said I was taking a break but I kinda forgot about coding in her character skill. all characters will have something unique they can do, Strawberry's allows her to spawn shields, and you will get different types of shields as you level her up.

Well it's still unfinished right now. But once it's fully finished I wanted to feel like she's making large jumps instead of regular running if that makes any sense. 🤔 I'm still working on making the animation feel that way lol
Got the last part of the global movement working, now its time for me a take a short break from coding and work on the next devlog.

The grind rails are working the way I want them to now. They do have some visible bugs but nothing game braking. now I can move on to the last global movement system I need before I can move to the next section.

got it so that holding the interact button while grinding downward gives you gradual speed. if you hold the the button going upwards it will slow you down.
