Timbers of Memory

On the Regte Heide, these weathered wooden poles mark the remains of Bronze Age burial mounds (around 1750 BC).
They once stood as sacred circles — places of rest, ritual, and remembrance.

This is Lower Lewis River Falls in #Washington state! I took this photo at high Spring flow, and it was pumping out mist and #Rainbows!

A photo of a broad waterfall stretching almost the entire width of the image from left to right. This photo was taken in spring season when the water levels were high, so that mist was being kicked up high in the air, causing a stub of a rainbow to appear above the middle of the falls. Beyond and above the falls and the river stands dense forest of tall green conifer trees.
The left side of the falls is bordered by a small cliff, and the right side by foreground foliage and a thick fence post.
The base of the falls is a large frothy pool where the river collects before running downstream.
