I feel like it’s unusual to be autistically interested in buses but growing up this was the only public transport in our area. We have light rail now (and it’s garbage) but I didn’t even catch a train until like 18

Modern buses have just lost all their character, although the articulated models still have some of the old styling and some are even red

I still miss these fucken things with their rattling windows and manual signage, many a fond memory of my grandma taking me “into town” on one of these. But onwards and upwards I guess.
