Just a few of my favourite Drew Struzan movie posters. Whether a classic or a turkey, Struzan always did sublime work no matter the quality of the film itself, when it comes to movie posters he truly was the GOAT and we’ll never the like again, R.I.P.

And there it is, trip to
HMV complete and will take the 20+ year old DVD’s to CEX tomorrow 🤣
I remember him well in Bottom (which I just completed a rewatch of), less memory of him in Ab Fab which although I’ve seen a lot of over the years have def not seen every episode or done a full watch through, it’s on the list!
Enjoyed this episode so much that It motivated me to finally replace my very old (and sadly edited!) young ones DVD’s for the fancy uncut blu ray boxset for a rewatch but I must as always stand up for Mike the cool person, I adore Chris Ryan’s performance+he grounds the show for me.
Having a great time with this new podcast where @tomsalinsky.bsky.social guides @abigoliah.bsky.social through the best of classic British comedy, anyone who knows me will know I’m a Sitcom obsessive so this is catnip for me.

Anyone can become disabled.

Anyone can lose their job.

Anyone can become homeless.

Anyone can go hungry.

These are not moral failings. They can happen in an instant.

Most people are far closer to living in poverty than they realize.

We must fight for one another & for the most vulnerable.

This 3-parter was truly epic podcasting.
I really think they don’t care, they’ve all had massive pay-offs from Israel and will have their exit plans going off to work for tech companies for massive sums figured out, it’s all just business at Labour now, no beliefs no nothing, just cynical cash grabbing.

There’s no solidarity quite like that between client journalists, the government and their billionaire backers. It’s all one big club.

This so-called “journalist” called for me — a British MP — to be deported because I’m Muslim.

Yet somehow he’s the victim. Cry me a river.
Really want to see 13th warrior but sounds like it’s in need of a decent transfer?

I hadn’t seen Kingdom of Heaven since the cinema in 2005 so it was fascinating to go back and check out the much praised Director’s Cut all these years later but did it change my original middling opinion on the movie, listen now to find out!
NEW EPISODE ALERT 🖖

We’ve had a bunch of listener requests to cover the Director’s Cut of Ridley Scott’s Kingdom of Heaven over the years thanks to the involvement of Alexander Siddig and now it’s finally here as the Spocklight crew gather to reevaluate the film at all good podcasts places now!

Trickle-down economics was always a sham.

Nothing has ever trickled down.
