A productive meeting with the Minister of State for Care
@skinnock.bsky.social

We discussed issues people in Bury St Edmunds & Stowmarket have been telling me about, including: GP access, dental care and mental health.

This Government are working hard to get our NHS off its knees.

The Prime Minister said he would do a deal to remove the US steel tariffs, and he has done just that - and on this historic day.

Promise made, promise delivered.

A hugely significant moment for our steel industry - delivered by a Labour Government.

Another deal done. Another promise delivered.

This deal is good for bills, good for jobs, and good for our borders.

Our 10 Year Plan will offer millions of carers the chance to book appointments and prescriptions through the NHS app.

Our 'Digital Front Door' will offer patients a better service, and free up doctors to spend more time with patients.

Today, the White House Press Secretary told the country that this ridiculous damn ballroom is “the president’s main priority”…not reopening the government, not lowering the cost of groceries, not lowering the cost of housing, not lowering the cost of healthcare….building a ballroom

Donald Trump is getting ready to deploy the National Guard in all 50 States, this will be done by April 2026.

In time to help fix the November 2026 elections.
Wes Streeting was brilliant on Loose Women today and explained that women's health is now under more focus of attention. He would be a good Labour leader.

Thou shalt not support a man who bulldozes the White House to build himself a golden ballroom whilst the government is shut down because he doesn’t want the financial records tying him to Jeffrey Epstein to come out.

Sadly, ignorant and gullible people often choose the wrong people to blame for their poor circumstances. Presently, they're blaming the mist vulnerable, led by far right rhetoric; typical fascist policies. We must care for our vulnerable-disability can happen to any one of us at any time.
Abled people don't listen.
How many houses do members of the Royal family need when many UK citizens have none (homeless), cannot afford high rents or mortgages?

When you wake up every morning nervous, with a feeling of dread.

Not because you have an important meeting coming up, or work pressure...

But because you don't know whether or not your body is going to work, or if it's going to be a day of agony and uncontrollable symptoms.
I support the Pastor who has tried to help the homeless. I'm sure they'd rather feel safe in a shelter, especially women, than worry about smoke alarms!?
Isn't it time they paid some of those profits to the Treasury and maybe a bit more interest to investors?
UK big four banks on course to pocket annual profits of more than £45bn.

Bank branches vanishing. Profits from high charges, low interest rates on savings, scandals, speculation.

Govt must levy windfall taxes on banks.

Barclays, Lloyds and NatWest will report results for the third quarter over the next few days, with HSBC releasing figures the following week.

Oh yay operation cancelled and been moved back 2 weeks.

It means finding somewhere new to stay, planning everything again… and even longer to have to wait.

This isn’t a complaint, there’s a cancer patient who needs care more than me.

It’s just a nightmare is all.

Mental illnesses are real disabilities.

So are Neurodivergent conditions like Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, and Dyspraxia.

All real, all valid.

People sometimes mistake the fact I don't initiate conversations as being that I don't want to or don't care.

Actually it's usually because I get RSD about it and hate to disturb people.

But I'm always, always here for them if they need and it's never a burden.
