We’ve had a week of grey skies and light showers to torrential rain so far, but it’s still spectacular! Lucky to still have another week to come so we may just have more than an hour of sunlight in a day yet 😆 😎
Currently staying on the #IsleofSkye I’ve seen all of the weather in the last 36 hrs. This is a photograph of (a small part of) the view from the window, with the reflection from another window seen in the sky…. not altered by me. Liked the effect, not sure I have done it justice though 😊
Years ago my mum bought me the smallest, weediest maple tree sapling from a local supermarket. Mostly because she felt sorry for it. This year has been its best so far…. the leaves are just stunning. It’s right outside the lounge window and I’m finding myself gazing at it all the time 🧡
Not one for people with OCD 😬

For the Epsteinth time, Tylenol doesn’t cause autism.
If you haven’t seen it already, search for ‘Superstition Sesame Street’ - one of my favourite videos, little kids grooving out to six minute, full band version 🤩
In fact, I’m going to post it on my feed now!
Love this.
Dose of good sense from the great Kurt Vonnegut. His enduring advice on living well, often rooted in his humanist perspective, is as relevant today as ever. #LittleBookofHumanism @profaliceroberts.bsky.social

Here’s a poem called ‘English Roundabouts’.
*As well as the fact….
(not ‘apart’).
🥴
Apart from the fact my dad drove mobile cranes for Grayston Crane Hire in the 70s, I love everything about this photograph!
It’s got definite ‘The Bed Sitting Room’ vibes. 😍
Wonder who the lady was 🤔

Morning all.

Glasgow 1960s from @DJSuperLemon1 on twitter. Detail in alt text.
I love this 😍. It’s like a scene from the film ‘The Bed Sitting Room’ (a classic in my eyes).
Then, to top it off, a Graytson crane in the background… my dad worked for them at the time as a crane driver… nostalgia right there for me 😊.
Fantastic photograph!
This.
Is there a way to undo “the politics of reality TV”? @rory-stewart.bsky.social and Jon discuss how we got here. (From 4/24/25)

I know, I know but still:

Thank you to all our authors, readers, booksellers, librarians, bloggers and reviewers

Nearly 20 years an Indie.
First pic - Scout
Second pic - Sidney
Scout was much smaller than Sid, but they could have passed for siblings if they had been around at the same time.
Lost Scout around 10 years ago, Sid in June this year 💔

Two of the bestest, goodest dogs.

At first glance I thought that was a photograph of the newly ‘enhanced’ Oval Office 😬
