Happy lamp tree season to all who observe
An ash tree at night with golden to maroon fall foliage, glowing from within because its branches surround a street lamp. It casts shadows on the sidewalk. There is a car parked next to it.

NEW: Recordings from a crisis pregnancy center conference, shared exclusively with Autonomy News, reveal that anti-abortion physicians are reluctant to prescribe abortion pill “reversal”—even as the conservative legal movement uses the supposed treatment to expand CPCs’ free speech rights.
Abortion Pill “Reversal” Is a Hoax. It's Also a Powerful Right-Wing Legal Strategy.
Speakers at a crisis pregnancy center conference made rare admissions about the challenges of providing so-called abortion “reversal,” and indicate its importance as a litigation tool.

Will I sleep tonight or will I have an 8-hour panic attack instead
Stonemountain Fabrics in Berkeley, CA
life is a rich tapestry i guess
I found the fabric version of this. People were ordering OVER FIFTEEN sample cuts at a time???
For many years, we have offered 1/8-yard sample cuts so customers could see and feel a fabric before ordering more. Very few online fabric stores offer this option, and we’re proud to have made it available as a way to help sewists choose the right fabric with confidence.

As our store continues to grow—both online and in person—the time and care required to prepare these very small cuts for online orders have become increasingly demanding for our team. Cutting, labeling, and packaging these cuts slows down our ability to get all orders out efficiently, especially as order volume rises.

To keep things running smoothly for everyone, moving forward we will be setting a limit of fifteen 1/8-yard sample cuts per online order. We know this change may be an adjustment, and we truly appreciate your understanding.
this isn't exactly my opinion but i love the conversations that have arisen because of my @ebbooksellers.bsky.social t-shirt that says, in part, PLOT IS FASCIST
Tell me your most unhinged literary opinion, as a little treat
wow i'm in this post and not as the therapist

I see people sharing this, maybe as an act of shared mourning, an attempt to stir action, or confirmation that the world sucks. The death of reef ecosystems pushed me into a panic about climate change in 2013 & led to me starting the Climate Anxiety Counseling booth in 2014. So, a few things (1/5)
It's OK, they'll distribute it to their employees 🫠
TFW someone shares a Gofundme "for the employees" of Ned businesses that burned last week and you open it and it's actually for the owners

Harmonized administrative data allowed us to calculate regional motherhood earnings penalties for two (once three) very different countries.

How different?

None of the regional (thin lines - Nuts-2) motherhood penalties in France (abt 20%), East-Germany (abt 50%) or West-Germany (abt 70%) overlap.

Hey Colorado residents, particularly people in Fort Collins, but also those who are somewhat near: my sister and brother in law are running a study on an easy, portable method to help maintain indoor air quality during adverse outside events (like smoke or pollution).

I called out sick and I'm really sad about it
Yeah, I think it's just exhaustion from a really rough patch of insomnia?? But it's not impossible it's something infectious. (covid tests have been negative)
Most salient perhaps is that I currently feel unable to get out of bed
Faced with deciding whether I'm actually too sick to sing in a choir concert tonight. On the one hand, they need me and it would be a huge bummer to miss. On the other, still scarred by throwing up on the altar during a Christmas eve trumpet performance in 6th grade
I mean realistically what it's about is making the public think mifepristone is dangerous
People are sharing this with the assumption that it's about abortion surveillance - it's actually about "contamination" of the water supply, which is almost as stupid. Or maybe they're lying and hoping to use it for surveillance, but it would never work. www.nytimes.com/2025/10/10/u...
The E.P.A. Followed Up on an Unusual Request About Abortion Pills

That's good to know! It was just some overworked student health counselor I saw 2 or 3 times so... probably not
thank you! yeah the emotional effects are def there! i'm super freaked because i have a choir concert tomorrow night and if i don't sleep tonight i feel like i will be unable to function for it (but at the same time setting up a requirement that i sleep tonight seems counterproductive!)
1) thank you that's helpful to hear because right now i'm at "if i have even one more 3-hour night i will probably Die" and i think i need to try being less dramatic
2) what did you do at night, i'm finding it's so boring being awake for that long
3) if you no longer have insomnia, how did it stop
