Good news is that I'm next month finally having surgery to remove the tooth that's growing into my jaw bone. The bad news is that even after it's out, I might never regain sensation in the parts of my face where I've lost feeling :/
I get up from the couch to get snacks. When I return, someone's taken my seat. #cats #catsofbsky #blackcats
The artwork is 'Huldra forsvant' by Norwegian artist Theodor Kittelsen.
I carry fragments
Of memories and dreams,
Shards of what was and what could have been,
Bittersweet hope and sorrow.
Let me not grieve too much, Mother,
But let me always recall the love along the way.

It's Black Cat Day for another hour, so here are some pics of my fluffy son. #blackcats #cats #catsofbsky
The manuscript for my second crime novel is now at 209 pages and I only have 2-3 chapters left to write before it's done. But I'm going to have to take a temporary break from writing because I have way too much to do at work and in my studies and I need to save up my mental energy 😓

#Inside the Rijksmuseum Library in Amsterdam. A sanctuary of light, color, and knowledge. This space feels like stepping into the architecture of wisdom itself. A moment of stillness amid centuries of curiosity and creation.

Do they think someone would lie about something like that for kicks? 2/2
A question that has been bugging me all day is why so many medical professionals are so inclined to assume patients are liars or hypochondriacs? Why did it have to take almost a month before I found a doctor who took me seriously when I said I'd lost sensation in parts of my face? 1/2
Anyway, I'm going to have surgery soon because if they don't remove the tooth that's sinking into my jaw then my jawbone is going to fracture 🙃

If I got a dollar for every time I've gone to the doctor and been treated like a hypochondriac, only for it to turn out that I had a problem that required surgery then I don't know how many dollars that would be because I've lost count of how many times that has happened. #EDS #Ehlers-Danlos 1/2
It might amuse you to know US MAGA Christians aren't the only ones who long to be The Most Oppressed of All. An Orthodox Christian in my city once reported a pizzeria for hate speech because they had a pizza named "Cheesus Christ". Authorities concluded it was, in fact, not hate speech.
One of the most interesting effects of Atomoxetine: I dream more and more vividly. I'm also more likely to remember my dreams.
#svpol
Didn't expect the Buddha Bowl to be this massive when I ordered it. Delicious, but I needed a nap after I ate the whole thing 😅

I'd borrowed it at our local village library and would hid it under my mattress so my step-father wouldn't find it and slap the f--- out of me for reading gay stuff. That book opened a whole world of ideas and possibilities to me and it's one of my most cherished literary memories. 2/2
Just now finding out that Aidan Chambers, author of many YA and children's books, passed away back in May of this year. I remember most foundly "Dance On My Grave", which was the very first gay themed book I ever read. 1/2

A number of things. Mainly because I haven't seen a lot of trans stories that are about life after transition rather than about coming out or the transition process itself.
