I used to have that problem since couple of years ago. It was the red joy-con, so I actually have to send it to Nintendo to repair it from stop being drifting by itself.

As of November 13, 2025, The Nintendo Switch 1 will be officially retired due to Joy-con drift… It will be replaced by the Nintendo Switch 2.
