If her love is reciprocated, she's confused as to how someone could possibly care for someone like her after everything she's done - at her core, she feels like a monster, the monster Bhaal made her but Gortash loves her anyway so in that, she learns to accept and come to terms with herself

"May Bhaal's gaze never reach you..."
but because she has to repress, it's often very intense and manifests as her lingering around/shadowing to make sure they're ok, acts of service
