We are loving this show. I’m an episode behind. Gotta catch up this weekend.
A list of everything being gutted right now
Not a native plant but a very cool mushroom! #fungifriends #mushroom

The Morphos are common here at @casabentbill.bsky.social #CostaRica, as I see them flitting through the garden every day. But they rarely cooperate for photos. So this was a rare treat this morning as this beauty spent a few minutes soaking up the early sun.

I’d read it! I just picked up The End of the World as We Know It.
Book cover of the end of the world as we know it, new tales of Stephen King’s The Stand
The Slits, The Clash, Lou Reed, Talking Heads, Don Cherry (her stepdad), and many more artists are part of her musical family. Her mother, Moki Karlsson, was a Swedish textiles and paint artist. She has lived an unconventional life and her story is fascinating. She’s a great narrator, too.
Night of the Living Rez is a great read! Highly recommended.
Gen X #audiobook recommendation for anyone who loves jazz, punk, new wave, and explorations of identity in the art world. I’m currently listening to Neneh Cherry’s memoir, read by her, and it’s so freaking good! #booksky www.simonandschuster.com/books/A-Thou...

Related to their description of the pale, light-eyed Indians elsewhere, I’ve read that this type of misdirection was common. Spaniards asking for gold? None here but that (traditional enemy tribe) guy 100 miles away has what you are looking for.

There needs to be more coverage of this in the news. I have read so many stories bout this on Facebook, first hand stories of the terror of that storm, and very little coverage n media.

Screenshot of a Facebook post. Photo is an elderly woman holding a child on her ap on a couch with flood water around them. Both are wearing jackets inside. Text says: This was after our 1st drift.. staying put for awhile. Our 3rd and final drift was terrifying. House moving fast then we started spinning in circles. While we were spinning in circles my oldest daughter was just staring at me while I held onto my younger two. Kipnuk doesn't look like kipnuk anymore, like more than 3/4 of the homes displaced, power poles fallen. It smells like stove oil outside. Contaminated

I instantly and aggressively charge at all random cats in our yard. They are not welcome and not allowed to associate our space with anything other than a raving screaming angry woman protecting her birds and chipmunks. It works!
I would like to read your translation!
At least we got the “I choose violence” meme out of it.
Currently reading Wandering Stars. His debut novel, There There, is a masterful exploration of Native identity. Congratulations Tommy Orange!
Looks like an aster, likely calico, with a bit of rabbit damage. I know she’s not what you planted but I’m delighted by your luck!
Just saw my first dark-eyed junco, ᏚᏘ tuti in ᏣᎳᎩ tsalagi Cherokee, of the season!
