I was the size of an acorn one time
And for the first year of my life, my breath smelled of apples
I had absolutely no teeth
And the top of my head was soft like butter cream
Not much has changed
Sitting in the waiting room
I don the dutiful shoe covers
I pick stray hairs from my sleeve
Though her mass is smaller than a scallop
I find myself weeping

'She labelled every jar on the shelf: 'Dill', 'Damson', 'Dates', 'Despair'. / He frowned at that one. / Just a joke,' she said, smiling.'

Poetry Workshop: Ok, just my thoughts, it's your poem, but how about don't tell me the baboon is big, show me the glint of moonlight curve on his auburn arse. Try internal rhymes. Should there be a monkey somewhere? 2/2

I went to the Animal Fair, the birds and the beasts were there, the big baboon by the light of the moon, was combing his auburn hair. 1/1

This is the closest I’ve been to a wild rabbit without it scarpering. Sadly after a while I realised it was likely fully blind with myxomatosis. Enjoying their greens and sunshine though 🥰

Printing presses kept their letters in cases.

Capital letters went in the upper case.
Smaller letters went in the lower case.

This is why we say ‘UPPER CASE’ and ‘lower case.’

Ok, but what did we call them before the invention of the printing press?

MAJUSCULE and minuscule.

Having worked on a few abuse cases, one pattern is an abuser will try to create a situation where the rules are whatever they say the rules are, + try to make the person or people they're abusing so confused they no longer know what is + isn't real. A useful lens for politics perhaps?
