through town. Over the last few decades, they’ve done a great job of revitalizing this little downtown to feature beautiful landscaping, lots of public art, and many great restaurants and stores. It’s a wonderful destination. There are also some picturesque lakes and state parks nearby.

A replica of the famous Florentine statue Il Porcellino stands on Main St in Greenville. His nose is shiny because rubbing it is supposed to bring good luck.

One thing I’ve finally learned to do is to plan some vacation days for myself. I’m my own boss, and I gave myself permission to make my long weekend a bit longer. Today, a friend and I ran away to beautiful Greenville, SC for the day. A pretty little river with some gentle, rocky falls runs right

My long weekend project is painting the guest room which we’ve been meaning to do since 2008. 🤦‍♀️ I’ll post results eventually. I also have a headboard to paint.

Kale and spinach have decided to join the party. I got 100% germination from arugula, about 60% from kale, and about 45% from the spinach. I’ve never been successful at spinach from seed, but gonna give it another go with some good fertilizer.

Thank you for addressing my pet peeve: “mischievous” is not pronounced mis-CHEE-vee-us. And I agree, the first level piano method books are the primer level, rhyming with dimmer. It’s the only place I encounter that usage.
