Absolutely 💯 🎯
The purpose of these tariffs is to be able to lift them to those who bow down to him and sacrifice their dignity. That is what he did to the GOP, the billionaires, and is doing now to Big Law. Those who stand up will be punished, those who bend a knee and humiliate themselves will be rewarded.

Ballroom donors per the NYTimes:
She thinks Latin will get her into heaven? 🤣
even as an atheist I’m pretty sure good Catholics ain’t supposed to say that out loud
Like, remember John Edwards?
It would be nice if she was younger but I’d go with the tough broad with a track record unless someone younger and transparent enters the race.
Well, that speaks volumes. And they think Mainers are dumb enough to buy this? I swear, just when you think Dems learn their lesson…

There’s way too much at stake to give this guy grace so they can stuff that argument. Mills has stood up to Donnie and has a record of winning statewide.

That anonymity is the most damning thing about this candidacy. Beyond the Nazi tattoo, or the faux-humble man of the people whose life was cushioned by privilege. It's that a candidate claiming to represent transparency in government is created by operatives who won't give their names. It's bad. 7/
This guy just keeps getting better and better. Maine, don’t get duped like PA.
More on Graham Platner as Actually Upper Class: he went to Hotchkiss. HOTCHKISS.

Platner's as "working class" as George W Bush, who also went to a prep school, then the National Guard, then bought a 'ranch'.

Platner could have been a fine candidate if he was truthful. But he is selling a fake. 1/

BREAKING:

Jack Smith is requesting that Congress and the Justice Dept. let him testify in public.

In new letters to the House and Senate Judiciary Committees, Smith says he wants to testify "in open hearings" because of "the many mischaracterizations" around his investigations.

As a group of former superintendents put it: “Our parks don’t run by themselves.” Without the dedicated staff who keep them clean, safe and functioning, the shutdown has left America’s greatest natural treasures more exposed to damage, danger, and neglect.

They know the East Wing demolition is bad optics for them that’s why so many have suddenly “come to life” on this platform today armed w/inaccurate talking points about earlier renovations at the WH.
@nytimes.com @washingtonpost.com @cnn.com @cbsnews.com and of course, FOX, take note. Sounds like a worthwhile project to me.
Hey Fox "journalists" take note.

Good: Jamie Raskin tells me he's formally demanding any/all internal communications between WH and DOJ on Trump's $230 million payoff.

More Dems should talk this way about Trump's criming. He's turning the presidency into a massive Bribe Delivery System.

New piece:

Trump’s Vile New $230 Million Shakedown of DOJ Just Got Even Worse
It’s bad enough that Trump wants—and DOJ will likely fork over—this tribute payment. Now, get this: It can probably be done at first without even being revealed publicly.

But it’ll cost far less than $300 million (or whatever figure it winds up being) and the Grifter in Chief will pocket the difference. Follow the $$$.

We're all out here unable to pay our bills, starving because grocery prices are skyrocketing and dying of cancer because our health system sucks ...

But yeah ... A ballroom. Super important.
Leavitt: "At this moment in time, of course, the ballroom is really the president's main priority."

When a Speaker forgets who he serves, the Constitution remembers. Under House Rule IX, any member may file a Motion to Vacate the Chair — the lawful process to remove a Speaker who abuses power or obstructs oversight…

It's time.
