Republicans inferring that IVF is somehow unethical is infuriating for IVF moms like me. Like hey bro, take some vitamins for your prostate cancer and call it “ethical radiation”. Slate piece by Mary Ziegler & more on RRM below👇 slate.com/news-and-pol...

"The Pentagon is not merely tightening a policy. It is attempting to redefine journalism as a narrow privilege granted on condition of obedience: The government decides what reporters may seek before they seek it, and punishes them for seeking anything else." www.thebulwark.com/p/locking-do...
Locking Down the Pentagon Press Is Dangerous
Pete Hegseth’s proposed restrictions would harm the people whom both the military and the press are meant to serve.

Trump did the same thing with immigration

He called Mike Johnson and killed the bill that Republicans had already negotiated-because it would help Biden

I'm sorry, is the Trump Administration talking to a tech platform?

Is it...requesting content moderation?
Today following outreach from @thejusticedept, Facebook removed a large group page that was being used to dox and target @ICEgov agents in Chicago.
The wave of violence against ICE has been driven by online apps and social media campaigns designed to put ICE officers at risk just for doing their jobs. The Department of Justice will continue engaging tech companies to eliminate platforms where radicals can incite imminent violence against federal law enforcement.

Let’s make a deal with the most corrupt president in U.S. history— Donald Trump.

🔥 HOT MIC: Indonesia’s president straight up asks if he can meet with Eric and Don Jr. You can’t make this up.

Yep. 🎯 They don’t want free speech they want THEIR speech.

Speaker Mike Johnson just said he's completely fine with ICE agents shooting priests in the head with pepper balls and roughing up journalists.

I'm sure he'll tell us soon about how it's the Democrats who are waging a war on religion and free speech though.

Q: We've seen images out of Chicago of federal agents shooting faith leaders with pepper balls and arresting journalists. Where's the limit for you on what's acceptable conduct by federal agents?

MIKE JOHNSON: I've not seen them cross the line yet.

They're delegitimizing themselves in substance by subverting the Constitution and aiding the establishment of a lawless autocracy. But they're further delegitimizing themselves because they really don't understand, and can't even halfway convincingly mimic, how the Court is supposed to function.

A fair, and damning, indictment of the SCOTUS majority.

Their opinions are poorly written, when they even bother. Their rationales fail to hide their overt partisan bias even when ways of doing so are available. Their oral arguments are cringe-inducing. They might seem sober adults compared to the freak show in the White House, but only by that low bar.

Freedom of the press is in the First Amendment for a reason. Read the whole piece👇 www.npr.org/2025/10/14/g...
Thomas Jefferson, no fan of the press himself, once wrote that our liberty depends on the freedom of the press,
, "and
that cannot be limited without being lost."
He knew a free and fair press is an essential safeguard to a functioning democracy.
So now, how will the American people find out what is being done at the Pentagon in their name, with their hard-earned tax dollars, and more importantly, the decisions that may put their sons and daughters in harm's way? With no reporters able to ask questions, it seems the Pentagon leadership will continue to rely on slick social media posts, carefully orchestrated short videos and interviews with partisan commentators and podcasters.
No one should think that's good enough.

The NYT blithely tells us that SCOTUS may be about to strike down the use of race in redistricting decisions, which will result in...

...the use of race in redistricting decisions.

What the NYT *means* to say is SCOTUS is about to forbid *stopping* MAGAs from using race in redistricting schemes.
