Popular Front politics requires a willingness to hold your nose & embark upon common purpose w/those who may (yes) wish for your nonexistence. It’s on the theory that the present threat to you is *actually that* – existential – & you need to survive to press your claims on other, weaker adversaries.

Hi Melissa I'm not demanding ideological purity, I'm a trans man demanding that my civil rights not be sacrificed. I am demanding that I be allowed to live with dignity and with access to medical care that I depend on to survive. No one's civil rights are negotiable. Due process is not negotiable.

I see you, but personally I go over canon and decide I don't like bits and pieces or whole arcs so I do my own thing story wise while making sure the characters are still the characters as they are in the original.

If you want the long fics, you need to give feedback.

Nothing saves a long fic like you commenting, keyboard slamming, engaging with the author through the comment section.

I have written several long fics just because people liked it, told me so and it encouraged me to keep writing it.
