263,000 Iowans are at risk of losing food assistance for November because of Zach Nunn’s inaction. That’s why I signed onto this letter with my colleagues urging Governor Reynolds to take immediate action to help Iowa families. It’s time to stop playing politics with people’s lives.

The impacts of this shutdown are real— government employees are going without pay checks and hungry families might now going to have go without SNAP benefits. And Zach Nunn’s response is typical DC: all talk, no action.

10 days into the government shutdown, Zach Nunn is still choosing to raise our insurance premiums instead of doing his job and passing a budget. Kaiser is projecting premiums in the 3rd Congressional District to increase by 235%, and we have Zach Nunn to thank for it.

“In or at risk of Recession.” That’s what’s happening to our economy in Iowa. Zach Nunn voted for Trump’s tariffs and slashed our rural healthcare funding. Working class Iowans deserve a voice in DC, not just a rubber stamp for the President’s agenda.
