I think it's technically impressive and has a few marginal use cases but it's mostly going to be used for society-rotting slop, fake viral images/videos, fake internet traffic, fake products, and in general scams of every kind at a volume heretofore unseen. And I loathe what AI has done to the arts.

the other thing about "radlib" is that it highlights that I do in fact think that issues of freedom and autonomy are in fact higher priority than issues of economic justice - and this is actually where "radical" comes in!

I actually think "radlib" is a pretty good term for myself, and I feel like appropriating it. Like I've referred to myself sarcastically as a "neolib" but that's *actually inaccurate*; I think "radlib" 100% describes my views. I am radically in favor of freedom

Trump announced today, seemingly at random, that he is cancelling fed funding for Gateway Tunnel, a tunnel for intercity & commuter trains under the Hudson River.

The motivation for the cancellation—which is likely to be contested—appears to be purely the president’s hatred of Sen Schumer.
