Well, porn has always been an early adopter of myriad new technology, going back to naked people on urns millennia ago.

A must-watch, for the silent heist scene alone.

“Rififi” (1955) is considered one of the best heist films ever made. Directed by Jules Dassin (The Naked City, Night and the City) who plays one of four men on a daring jewel robbery. Things turn deadly as the search for loot leads to the doorsteps of those involved. Pathé Consortium. #FilmNoir

Good ideas. I'd like to see games reduced to 8 ends, while we're at it.

Shouldn't the Secretary of Transportation be concentrating more on guiding air traffic control and TSA through this shutdown instead of talking antifa right now?

I attended the 2007 World Cup in Canada. During the group stage, a Brazilian told me he was scared of us. Wow.

Also note how Argentina was winning that tournament frequently, and how well their senior team has played since.

I'd like a lot more controls on online sports betting. Pass a credit check, limit the number and size of wagers based on your income, etc. And if you want to spend a larger amount on a game, fly to Vegas.

Is there a difference between "scrimmages" and pre-season/exhibition games?

Sounds like a Gabriel Allon type of judge. Serious, unflappable, fair, and not someone to pick a physical fight with.

Primarily, Following. When I want to avoid the news, I scroll the feeds for favorite niche sports (biathlon, women's ice hockey, the German Bundesliga) or my hobbies (books, jazz, cross-stitching).

The sad thing is, this primer doesn't need much updating 56 years later.

Jay finally gets to meet Molly the Maid!

Would love to come, but I live and work on the Eastside. Traffic and work schedule are tough.

Let's see if they look at the recent NWSL labor deal. They got rid of the entry and expansion drafts, and trades can't happen without the consent of all the players involved. Minimum salaries IIRC will eventually hit 6 digits, a big deal (the MLS rookie minimum is $72K).

You're right. Azzi was on the cover of the ABL program I bought at that Reign-Blizzard game, and my memory got confused.
kirklandperson.bsky.social
The first of the two ABL games I saw my Seattle Reign play was against the Blizzard. IIRC that Blizzard team included Karen Deden and Jennifer Azzi.

"Would You Rather/You Can Only Have One: Redford or Newman?" would be a great discussion topic. Film scholars, men, and women would answer on completely different mindsets, of course. #RIPRedford

Reunited.

RIP Robert Redford

My late aunt had a thing for him. Now she finally gets to meet her crush.

Plus the music. Though I think ragtime's heyday was way before the movie's Depression setting.

Can't go wrong with this one. We miss you, Bob.

My favorite Robert Redford movie. Peak 1970s perfection.

Every time we try to introduce gun-control laws, it gets shot down by Congress or the courts as an infringement on the (permanently guaranteed) right to bear arms. We haven't found a legal theory that promotes gun control and jibes with the 2nd. Amendment yet.
