Ehhh plenty of cases of that, where he make a provocative point but winds up correct when after a long thread elaborating on his statement. Here it was just that post, and then "I meant numbers." Any ambiguity was gone in like two seconds.

Guys when I say "The No Kings protests are larger than the Civil Rights protests" that is clearly a claim about numbers. What else could it mean? That is the plain-english, straightforward reading of that statement. Stop pretending you've suffered a brain injury for the sake of winning an argument

I get why South Carolina going first is controversial, especially after 2020. But we are facing a scenario where The Democratic Presidential Primary is the only mechanism for Southern Black Voters to meaningfully engage in Democracy.

Can't speak to their attendance, but the local 50501 chapter has weekly pickets at the local ICE headquarters and Fox News. They aren't just popping up to post big numbers every few months without really building anything.

Federal level the picture is more mixed, but to me a repeal of Section 2 almost guarantees Democrats never come close to flipping a state legislature in the South. Even if NC, GA, and (maybe) TX remain competitive statewide, they’re never gaining in the legislatures there or elsewhere

this is objectively true. the march on washington, for instance, was about 250k. this isn't a criticism of the movement. this is a LESSON TO LEARN about why focus and clarity can matter more than raw numbers.
