"Expand" meaning he'll ramp up ICE terrorism in one or two other cities, while the intensity in Chicago drops sharply, just like it did in LA and DC before they went into Chicago.
They don't have the manpower to run the urban terror campaign in more than one large city at a time.

Of course, Thiel has his own twisted little spin on this, beyond just believing AGI is an infinite money glitch: he's one of the most immortality-obsessed billionaires out there, and he sees these AI projects as a gateway to digitizing his own twisted little brain so he can live forever.

In way, literally it is. The reason they want to develop "AGI" so bad is because it represents the holy grail of capitalism: a way to eliminate labor costs once and for all (LOLNO).
I've heard AGI referred to as "the synthetic Demon God of capital", and it shows.

That does seem to be what's happening. Positives for us: it hampers their recruiting goals and total numbers, drags down the average competency level of ICE agents, and makes it far easier to radicalize people against them since their behavior is effectively running our own PR campaign for us.

It feels like the DHS field army (I've been calling them "Brownhoods" lol) is being attritted down to those people who actually like this shit: sadists, racists, ethno-nationalists, psychopaths, and failed cops. Other veteran agents quit or get fired, and most new hires won't last long.

There's also this crazy super rare thing called "not being able to find employment."
(And no, chuds, "just work for McDonalds hurrdurr" isn't a solution. In creative/technical fields a lot of companies treat a block of retail or food service employment no different from an empty resume gap.)
