Blue states need to start talking seriously about secession. This is not a drill. States should not be subject to military invasion, arbitrary arrest of their leaders, and theft/denial of public goods based on their politics. It’s time to secede.
It’s already too late: They can deploy the military and secret police to intimidate communities and prevent or simply rig next year’s elections and all others going forward, and they will. Our one chance to stop it was 2024, but Americans decided they wanted this. It’s over.
The US is a shrinking power and an unstable and untrustworthy country under this regime. If other countries simply decide to collectively cut the US off and trade/work solely with one another, they can weather losing the US market which is no longer dependable anyway.

What is desperately needed is for other countries to openly condemn the Trump regime for its lawlessness and brutal repression the way they do when they see it in Burma or Iran or Venezuela. The EU and countries that value the rule of law have to speak out together, damn the consequences.
