The reason reporters are talking about the Nuzzi stuff so much, besides gawking at a car crash, is that there's a handful of prestige jobs like that left, and we've all been passed over and know other reporters who've been passed over for them in favor of well-networked barnacles.

The Idaho Young Republicans (IDYR) are aware of the recent Politico article that was published referencing a leaked chat by a small faction of YR members [from outside of Idaho]. We were appalled by the 2,900 pages of disturbing messages.
The rhetoric used in the leaked chat is vile, hateful, and frankly, un-American.
These actions do not reflect our standards or the values we promote as YRs or as members of the Republican party. We strongly condemn this behavior.
Furthermore, we believe any YR leader or member who condones these actions should promptly remove themselves from the organization.
Your Idaho Young Republicans stand for leadership, service, and respect, and we will never tolerate this behavior in our organization.

Going to say this again at the risk of being yelled at...it's not the media's job to promote a protest. That is the job of political organizers. There will be PLENTY of media coverage of the protests themselves.

And I've seen many stories about people hurt by ICE, the shutdown, and much more.
