Off topic, but what would KM have said about consciousness? Many folk think it's a case where outward appearance and essence do directly coincide.

I feel seen, but also, this is why in science at least, as you become more senior, give your mentees your absolutely best ideas if they've got the fresh legs to kick them about. Earlier career researchers are often exploited but it should be a very mutually beneficial relationship.
