I'm Keith.
I am a computer programmer with a focus in #ProceduralGeneration / #ProcGen, a game designer for board and computer games, an RPG Textbook Layout artist, a wargaming terrain builder, and a drummer.
A screenshot from the beginnings of a procedural city building project; showing blocks of various geometries and sizes, roads that only cross at crossroads, and a river fork all rendered as lines and dots in an infinite plane A picture of scratch built wargaming terrain showing a ruined factory, made from plaster, tin cans, and cardboard. Painted Games Workshop Necromunda miniatures are scattered atop it A fractal pattern showing an infinite world being generated on a computer, modified for poster prints A computer generated image of a planet made of hexagons and pentagons, superimposed and dramatically lit by the sun rising behind it. Okay. So. Amazing scenes playing out at the vets when i arrived to pick up Napoleon.

Names changed/removed. But get ready for a lost kitty story with a happy ending.

It starts late last year, when the elderly neighbour of a young couple went into a care home /1
Just these ones to go for the rest of the month... Not like they're the most complicated ones or anything...
Part of the cursed city board game miniature collection, primed in bone or grey, and placed on a lamp. The eight heroes are in the foreground, the six villains in the background sitting on the base of the lamp.
Vyrkos and Vargskyr models. Realising I paint mine a lot darker than the book does but here's some angry vampires that might also be werebats anyway
28mm scale miniatures from Cursed City painted to a reasonable standard with washes and speedpaints. Three Vyrkos (part vampire with longsword, part bat beast) and a huge Vargskyr (effectively a ten foot tall were-bat)
These are my favourite zombie minis ever; such a neat concept for the freshly risen dead to be forced to carry their own tombstones around with them. But oh god they're fiddly and they need so many colours and I never make dead flesh look good #nerdlings
Ten painted 28mm scale zombie miniatures. The zombies are all carrying graves on their back which have been staked through their chests, and show either burial shrouds, nooses, and rats or ravens pecking at them
ugh. what a week, huh?
Wasn't complaining about this the reason that MP got Gareth Dennis fired?
I filed Evil Zone in the back of my mind as being a neat concept of a simplified beat em up, and then got completely ethered by the revelation that not only is it played regularly at GDQ as a tournament game, that there's meta to it.
Oh I couldn't, utterly couldn't trouble you for one, could I?

kids teacher just sent this home as part of an assignment he's doing and i want to smash every computer at the school
I love it when my diagrams show three easy steps where the first one is one and the third one is four.

It's #portfolioday! I make all kinds of cute stuff and am totally available for design and illustration work
I hope the studio that got contracted to animate this got paid a fortune, but you failed to actually write why we should be interested or what has changed, and this isn't going to drum up interest from people who make these kind of effects for a living or work closely with those folk. Poor work
I'm going to buy every disused stadium and put animatronic dinosaurs in them. Larger than life ones. Tall enough that occasionally they poke their heads out from the middle so that passing motorists on nearby freeways are occasionally jumpscared by a TRex staring out of the Super Dome or something.

greyboxing the attack system. No damage, just targeting (and range legality), and a little tween to show it being an actual attack.

this little maneuver (and it's associated refactoring) is going to cost us about six hundred lines of code changes...

'tis the season.
Hahaha. Every UI designer suddenly yelling at their Producer "we warned you! We wanted to use icons but they told us no!"
We do Agile, but...
In honor of spooky month, share a 4 word horror story that only someone in your profession would understand

I'll go first: Six page commercial lease.
The long running theory I have is that every game developer secretly has the desire to run some kind of place where they serve food to the community

The real test for "is this person a developer?" isn't whether they can code or open an engine or ship, it's whether they yearn to open a little café.

If the US can ever vomit this stupid era out we're gonna need widespread all-ages education on basic facts like when you'd see old billboards or MST3k shorts advertising the concept of hand washing or being good. Stop Using Gasoline To Wash Clothes. Springs Are Ubiquitous & Essential To Modern Life
