These are not new.
They're recons of bikeways that were previously constructed in modular materials. The roads are being recon/resurf & the Bikeways are being brought up to current standards & made perm.

BUT
There are other new 2025 bikeways - Mill Rd, Sheppard Ave, Steeles Ave, Port Union Rd +++

Yes, they are coming. There are currently pylons and TC54 barrels at the ends until the (flexible) posts are installed.
Our low walls are always deployed to quickly "hold space" until we can do something more permanent, like this.

Those Harbord ones found homes elsewhere.

All the Harbord/Hoskin stops have the integrated/raised platforms 💥
There is also one at Bathurst EB far side, that is not for transit - but rather to address a longstanding issue with parking in the bikeway. 😐

Toronto’s Cycling and Pedestrian Projects Team continues to hit it out of the park. Out for a ride today and here’s just some of the new cycling facilities that I came across. New concrete planters and permanent curbs on Harbord Street. /1

I would contact the Data & Analytics team responsible for validating and publishing the data.
My guess is that the data may not have been validated yet. So rather than holding everything, they published what they had.

A nod of thanks to the unsung heroes behind Toronto’s Cycling and Pedestrian Projects Teams. So many of us in #BikeTO #WalkTO #AODA advocate on a daily basis, the need for our elected representatives to prioritize the safety of vulnerable road users.

Image 1: The West Don River Trail over the CN Rail line south of Gateway Boulevard is now open to the public!
Installations include an accessible path to the West and East Don River Trails, and a mirror to facilitate vision around the existing blind corner.

Image 2: Ongoing work on The Esplanade includes the installation of a two-way cycle track on the south side from Market Street to Scott Street, conversion to one-way westbound from Church Street to Scott Street for motor vehicles with on-street parking and loading on the north side, and modifications to the traffic signal at The Esplanade and Church Street. The current phase of work on The Esplanade is anticipated to be complete by the end of October.

Image 3: Road safety improvements are complete along Sentinel Road from Lamberton Boulevard to Sheppard Avenue West, including raised cycle tracks, widened sidewalks, accessible pedestrian crossings and green infrastructure, where feasible.

Yes, many of the planters on the new Harbord Hoskin have rainwater inlets and "beehive" catchbasins within the planter.

Whenever the grades work.

Harbord/Hoskin is a very "flat" street, good for cycling, bad for drainage.

Sorry to hear people are not happy.
- The contractor & local organizations are doing the planting on this project.
- The contract does include watering of the plants they plant. We do a lot of silly things, but issuing a contract that has planting and not watering isn't currently one of them.
