I was so excited to celebrate It's Not a Bloody Trend's birthday this morning, only to discover that it was actually...yesterday. Anyway, my book on (you'll be shocked to hear) ADHD is one today!

WTF is going on with the BBC coverage of this story.

The court did not hear it was unlawful. His lawyer claimed it was unlawful. The prosecution said it was imperfect but lawful.

This headline implies undisputed fact.

I don't think I've ever loved any performer as much as I loved him in The Worst Witch.

Thank you, she thinks so too!

Plus, lots of people simply hate trans people, but having grown up through Section 28 know that’s a bad look, so they want an excuse for their hatred that they can pretend isn’t bigotry.

This sequence of posts sums it up, really. Men are the problem - cis men, who don’t need to change anything about themselves to do harm - but trans people are the scapegoat because tackling men would require a total dismantling of societal structure.
A story about the former Premier League referee David Coote admitting making an indecent image of a child, followed by a story about trans people being at risk of exclusion from many UK public spaces

I can thoroughly recommend that if you find scrolling A Lot that you follow some good bot accounts like @birdperhour.net or @pomological.xor.blue or @art.feediverse.org (plus plenty more!) that put nice things in front of your eyes once an hour or so.

She does have regular visits from a local entrepreneur, and they get on quite well outside, but he’s banned from entry since weeing in random places.

My lovely pal Pippa Vosper is on Woman’s Hour today with Pippa Bennett-Warner talking about their short film 22+1. It is absolutely extraordinary and so moving. Also, PV put her own story of losing her son Axel at five months pregnant into it so generously. On Radio 4 from 10am.

She is very protective of her corner office, although my husband does report an awful lot of snoring mid-morning so I’m not sure what she’s actually doing.

A few months ago I got Genevieve this little cocoon bed and now every morning, when my husband does his emails or works from home, she takes herself up there like a busy business lady going to the office.
A bright eyed calico cat with ears pricked sits in a pink fluffy cat bed with a hole at the front. Someone had left it out on a fence near us so I took it home and aired it for a few days in case she’d like it, because God knows every new bed I’ve ever bought her has been met with absolute disdain!

Monkey/screen wash update from my friend Damon who has just returned from working in southeast Asia for a decade, thank you Damon
He’s trying to drink the screen wash because it’s got alcohol in it and macaques are little hairy ASBOs

I am so pleased she got on board with the party - that must have been so moving and quite lovely!

Had a very normal drive at Longleat this weekend, 10/10, even if our passengers only tipped us with bum marks and saliva.

That sounds amazing - and to see them, you need to do the boat trip which also shows you the hippos, the gorillas, and the extremely loud sea lions who you can feed!

We're going to longleat for the lights at Christmas and now I must see wee lad and wee wee lad.

I absolutely adored Longleat. I was also thrilled to learn that, while some of their colobus monkeys came from French zoos and had chic names, two came from Belfast zoo: Wee Lad, and his younger brother, Wee Wee Lad.

Ross seems such a lovely chap and came across as such a jolly good sort. That’s definitely not something you can say about every person you see on this show, let alone one wearing a Thunderbirds costume. #SCD #Strictly

*runs up excitedly*A meerkat and a mere Kat!

(I made Claire take this photo for this reason, it’s probably time we went home and had a sleep.)
