Me recap for new followers. I'm Kasey. I've worked in the animation industry as a designer/director for 18+ years now sell my own work. I'm a disabled ace lady with a lady partner. I watch ALOT of film/tv and am a hobbyist animation historian. I'm liberal, support trans rights, and draw MANY horses.

The point of this isn't the actual question people. I know that immigrants don't steal American jobs I'm not a fucking idiot. The question points out that we are tricked into accepting something that actually hurts us while worrying about something that doesn't because of rich people propaganda.

If they had let the rhyme play out in the beginning, then the introduction to Perrito later on wouldn't have had the same impact as we would have already seen him. The story structure is perfect in the final film I just think it's funny you can see uncut pieces of previous story beats.

My Roman Empire is the fact that Perrito from Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, is the "little dog" that laughed from the Hey Diddle Diddle rhyme but something happened in an earlier story draft that cut the rhyme from playing out but left in most of the remnants like a trail of whimsical breadcrumbs.

Puss was probably originally supposed to play a fiddle but they gave him a guitar instead
