I am the domestic terror organization that burned the entire city of Seattle to the ground. And I'll do it again. You found me, but you can't stop me. Ask me why ACAB. Go ahead and ask. I can prove it.

Miracle on 34th Street was a summer blockbuster, not a Xmas movie.
Fun fact:

"Miracle on 34th Street" was released in JUNE of 1947 and was not marketed as a Xmas film. The marketing just focused on it being the newest film starring Maureen O'Hara and John Payne. Santa Claus wasn't even hinted at in any of the advertising.
If the government employs at least 1/2 the population, isn't that just direct democracy?
No. It's several other crimes, but it's not treason. This is example of the sort of thing I was talking about. People like to shout "treason" about all sorts of things that most definitely aren't that.
People like to throw around the word "treason" to describe objectionable actions that would never, ever actually fit the definition of treason.

But this is different. This is arguably ACTUAL treason . . . as in waging war against one's own nation.
Concern for my own health and welfare will not deter me, but a reluctance to spend more than $20 on Taco Bell just for myself will.
At least this will stop me from buying and immediately consuming three of them.
On this day in 1947, the fascists in the U.S. House Committee on Un-American Activities launched their infamous film industry commie hunt.

Don't let them do it, again.
Infants are not only incapable of long-term planning or moral reasoning, but are also a burden on everyone around them. Infants are a luxury (and replaceable), and should not be valued above fully sapient persons, who can themselves value and promote the flourishing of moral beings.
Frankly, if one can simply SUBSTANTIALLY IMPROVE the lives of MANY self-aware moral beings by sacrificing a single human infant, the infant ought to be sacrificed. It won't even care that it's being sacrificed, but the people whose lives are improved will care. And they can likely make more infants.
If one can preserve the life of a being who has self-awareness, the ability to make long term plans, and the capacity for moral reasoning by killing an infant, kill the infant. Infants lack these morally relevant features and are therefore of lesser moral value than beings that possess them.
I mean, we should be giving everyone a basic income, but if we're gonna start somewhere, trans women seems like a damned near close to perfect choice.
P.S. I actually have a PhD in philosophy, so MOST of my ethical stances are probably pretty niche. I just went with that is likely to be the most controversial one.
I sincerely believe that infanticide can be morally justified in MANY more situations than most people are willing to admit.
Do not kill the part of you that is cringe.
Kill the part of you that cringes.
FUCK yeah! Love a good heist! I hope the jewels were subsequently tossed into a volcano.

France's Interior Minister, Laurent Nuñez, called the heist "a major, highly organized operation" that lasted just seven minutes. Authorities were still drawing up the value of the stolen items. n.pr/4o9JbkU

It's really weird to say, "The author just makes the characters do whatever he personally wants them to do!" and mean that as a criticism. Like, are you new to the concept of fiction, my dude?
Fun fact:

Reputable body artists don't do "lost a bet" tattoos/brandings/scarification because enthusiastic consent is absolutely crucial when altering a person's body in any way.
That's not say there are not potentially positive uses for it. The key word there is "potentially." At present, just about every single one of those positive uses is a hypothetical. The actual, present uses are all detrimental to humanity.
I've learned how to use it effectively. It's transformational in ways that are almost entirely negative. In kind of the same way environmental mutagens are transformational.
Man, hibernation is what's up. Why can't I just get really fat and then lose consciousness through all the shit months? That sounds sweet.
Karpov's Machine? But he died thirty years ago . . . in this very room.

Some say that on the coldest nights, you can still hear his Sony bookshelf stereo, endlessly changing discs, but never playing a track . . .
