Regardless of how we do it things have to be disrupted. The corporate overlords need to lose money. They need to know who really runs the show. Because otherwise we keep sliding into something that I can only guess on.

Honestly, I would like to see protests such as No Kings day more than every 3 months. If we really want their attention it should be weekly or monthly, something to disrupt the normal flow of events. This show of force is great, but we have to push further on this.

What a joke. I hope both of these dudes end up in jail after they reinstate his sentence when they reform the pardoning laws. They need to do that period.

It was always going to be that with the business model that they created during the streaming-mania era that we are just coming out of. Those that came out of the cable era had no clue what they were doing and we are now worse off than ever in terms of quality but inundated with quantity.

Oh, believe me, I feel the same. But this is what happens when, instead of becoming a better society for all, you just end up managing a decline and hoarding wealth at the top. We still have a long way to go before we can breathe. That much I can tell you. It will be years longer at the very least.

Let us say, for the sake of argument, that this is the case. The problem then becomes, who does anything about it? What mechanism do you use to investigate it when they control the government? The 1876 and 1960 elections were both corrupted, but nothing happened. Will this be different?

Too often in this country the laws on the books are not enforced, or people in power can just do wtf they want the consequences be damned. Until we deal with that this shit will just keep happening. Powerful people helping out other powerful people no matter their character.

The GOP clearly does not understand America and its citizens. No one person has ever been able to tame this vast land with its hundreds of millions of people. They may try to bully us, silence us, and instill fear, but we are not Russia or NK; we are the USA. In the end this will be their undoing.

If you ever get the chance look up something called the Party system era's because they are very telling in terms of alignments, the issues pushing those alignments, and our definition of the spectrums based on our current political framing is which off big time due to our lack of knowledge on this.

This has their attention and perhaps after tomorrow even more, but as I have said time and again, if we truly want to bring these chodes to their knees, we need an economic boycott the likes of which we have never seen, and it can be done, but the will must be there first.

During Reagan, conservatives began to shift into anti-left reactionaries. Frankly, their intellectual depth is so lacking that conservatives from that time thought this movement would fizzle out. Instead, it has persisted, and now we are left dealing with the consequences for an uncertain duration.

Yes and like a rat in a corner, they are clawing and fighting and biting back as much as they can. The demographic loss of white people will not go gently into that good night. You may see more suffering and more loss before they get the idea of a diverse society being a positive if at all.

The real issue is that the GOP even uses that language and then dems come out hat in hand saying the GOP "are good people." Until the democrats start calling these people the outright domestic terrorists they are and charging them with the crimes they commit, we will continue to deal with this.

I love Trump's obsession with ballrooms that no one asked for, which cost $ 250 million. At the same time, the GOP cuts off healthcare and food benefits from millions of Americans who are barely getting by, and may end up dying while Cankles Mcgee makes 1 b dollars off of crypto and hawking watches.

Yeah I am also old enough to remember the 1990s and the Jesse Helms days in the south. The democrats in the 90s were pretty much run by that wing of democrats. Clinton may not have been racist as they were, but being socially and fiscally conservative did us no favors honestly.

In all honesty this period needs to be a wake up call for us to call our constitution what it actually is. It is an anti-majoritarian document that allows those who can twist the law at the top to push down on us. So if anything it needs reformed, but that won't happen anytime soon.

Democrats in the south have been more or less done since the early 2000's when the last old boy network democrats went over to the GOP. If this country is to be saved it will once again be in spite of the south, not due to any assistance it offers. It will be relegated to Jim Crow status for decades

No, we don't know that. But if we believe that, then it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

What I do know is that if you throw in the towel 3 full years before an election, just forget it. SCOTUS or whatever the fuck. They don't own us. We are more than the 75 million who voted for Trump.
