Like I am not trying to gatekeep but there’s so much that goes into owning any pet, not just horses. Pets are like kids: fucking expensive

Nothing made me angrier tho than watching people be like “I’m gonna get a horse” and then 2 years later the horse is put down because the owner couldn’t afford proper care

Owning a pet requires having a substantial amount of money on hand at any point to be able to care for them. You need to always be prepared for your pet to suddenly cost you 2 grand, and if you’re unwilling to do that you shouldn’t have a pet

This mostly comes from owning walking vet bills (horses)

In honor of Edgar Allan Poe's 176th deathday, here are a few of my recent pieces inspired by Poe's works 🫀
