idk that im autistic, my bf thinks so, my partner thinks maybe, i think mayyyybe but if so not very much, but. i do have like the opposite experience wrt to my neurodivergence. where displaying traits often makes me feel dysphoric?? i cant even name why exactly

and ppl should be supported throughout that decision process!!! Have access to everything and be allowed to make decisions and also to regret them.

so yes as u say, /all/ trans bodies should be celebrated. As varied as they come. Its cool were not all the same actually

and i get the impulse - bc ppl waiting longer than needed to medically transition is so common and encouraging them is good - but also. everyone should get to choose what actually is right to /them/, not just working to fit expectations of gendered bodies.

yes it meant a lot to me then, too!!!

and i understand why its little talked about, but i also know ppl who took transition steps they later regretted in part bc of how even within our community, we present certain steps as Necessary and Always Correct and theres little info on alternatives

sorry for the ramble,,, tldr is i feel like being trans is a delicate balancing act between safety and being seen (and much more so for trans fems), and medical transition is one tool in shifting that balance. but the ratio to begin w is different for everyone, and you are your gender no matter what

bc yes, it fucking sucks when even really well meaning ppl just Cannot in their head conceive of you as Boy bc of how gendered your body type is

but then a lot of folks never could reliably pass as the gender assigned to them, and medical transition helps them pass as their actual gender.

Access to transition certainly is a privilege (if one thats often hard fought for), but there really is no universal way it affects ppls marginalization.

eg, i could pass as a cis girl easy pre t, and only registered as trans after. that meant safety in a lot of ways, but the trade-off was misery

theres no right way to be trans to these ppl bc their issue is with the being trans in itself. no winning

tangentially related, i wish ppl would stop acting like medical transition makes being trans either inherently easier or harder, on an interpersonal level

and there is a kind of transmisic person who will go 'noo dont ruin ur beautiful body cant u just be a boy w tits' (idk about transfem experience wrt this) but the thing is. same person will use your tits as proof you're really a girl. etc.

i never considered i might have ocd bc i don't have compulsions. and like i think im a bad person but for really good reasons (that i apply to others too)

There’s a free application, shutup10++, that lets you disable all the shitty windows stuff with a series of checkboxes.
It even tracks if windows rolls anything back between updates and lets you reverse the changes with a click.
I can personally recommend shutup10++ if you need to stick with windows
