Classic mansplaining aside, this guy reminds me of the careerist who sank 15 years at at company to be laid off for their loyalty and comes into the new shop assuming workplace politics work the same (they don't) and systems their old employer built from scratch exist everywhere (they don't).

I get really sick and tired of a media that continues to treat poor white Trump voters, uneducated and low-information independents, or any brand of non-political person who decided to become political in 2024 as if they’re some magic group of people with special insight on American politics.

I am categorically uninterested in, and actively disgusted by, the reification of “working class” or “disaffected” voter as an identity in order to infantilize and remove any agency for their political choices.

You have a responsibility to be an informed citizen of your own fucking country.

Regardless of how poor you are, how uneducated, how disaffected by politics or whatever you are, you’re not special. Millions of Americans, Black seniors on fixed incomes, young college grads in mountains of debt, single women service workers, all had the sense enough not to vote for this.
