One completed knit sock and the start of a sock ankle on double pointed needles. Both are made with red yarn and have garter ribbed stripes
And for crochet, here are all of the Megan Lapp/Crafty Intentions makes I had on hand when she spoke at my guild last spring.
A collection of colourful crochet creatures including a unicorn, octopus, jackalopes, and several monsters.
This ball is Lillie. She enjoys nice pets and yowling at 4am.
A black and white tuxedo cat curled into a ball, sleeping.
Oh that belly floof is magnificent!
#HappyThanksgiving from the wild #turkey we saw on our paddle today. 🙂 🦃

A woman with long, sandy coloured hair, and wearing a navy top and glasses, is holding a book entitled The True Cost of Wool.
@chucktingle.bsky.social is an absolute delight. I am glad the book was worthy!
#showmeyourknits is celebrating #socktober this week with lots of fancy 🧶 socks!

My socks tend to be gifts, but these are ones I knit for myself. I wore the latest pair for the first time today. 🙂 Now to finish the ones for my partner...

#knitsky #knitsocks
Four pairs of hand knit socks laid out on a blue blanket, and a fifth pair on my feet. 1 pair is self-striping yarn in autumn colors of yellow, orange, burgundy, blue, and teal 2 is self-striping yarn to look like a watermelon in pink, white, and green, 3 is tomato red yarn, and 4 is neon stripes of pink, orange, turquoise, and yellow. I am wearing blue, turquoise, and grey self-patterning socks.
Thank you!

Creatures require counting and paying attention, so socks are my travel/meeting/lunch break projects. Though I want to knit fancier socks which will ruin this system.
Lovely monsters! That book is phenomenal. I love how interchangeable everything is. My partner has stolen my copy to make a horrifying thing with at least three mouths at this point.

I'm currently working on a giant snail from her latest book. 🙂
This week is #creepycute for #crochetaway, & I have already shared many of my monsters, but not these!

Pattern is Ponysaur by Megan Lapp/Crafty Intentions. These are 2 of the 3 included leg options, and they are wired through the body to be poseable.

Crochet monster called a Ponysaur has a long body with pointed tail, four pointy legs, and a single large eyeball for a head. Body is a turquoise/blue/white speckle yarn, and the eye is a turquoise safety eye. In front of the ponysaur are the leftover bits of yarn from failed attempts at yarn chicken.
Sarah Schira's? Or another one? I'm making Sarah's Gnumpkin. :)
It's Mystery Gnome time!

I will avoid posting spoiler photos for October, so instead here is my glorious #yarnbowl again and the HiyaHiya flyers needles I am using to knit tiny gnome parts.

Love her patterns! And the October sale has started!
Happy #Socktober! These #handknitsocks are for my partner's #Halloween costume, so I need to finish them this month. #wipWednesday progress!

Partially knit ankle of a ribbed sock in red yarn on double pointed needles leans against an orange pumpkin. It is surrounded by a ball of red yarn and other squashes.
Last year, I attended an Indigenous-taught workshop to learn beading techniques and brought home the bits to make two pins.

I ran out of beading thread to finish one, but the other I wore today on my #orangeshirt because #EveryChildMatters.
A white envelope reads "every child matters" in black script. Next to it is a partially beaded piece of orange felt with the outline of a t-shirt drawn on it. Next to it is a finished pin that reads "every child matters" and has two rows of orange beads around the text.

I love everything about this from your passion to your knowledge.
I did a #Petrykivka painting workshop, and I LOVE my #pumpkin! Even the parts I messed up, and there are many.

Huge thanks to Olena Chorna Fine Arts for the workshop!

The pumpkins are adorable!
If you have something in mind, we can talk! Just don't expect anything to be finished until next year. 🙂
OoOoOo I like that it clips! That would be super useful for my knitting/crochet books. I use a regular bookmark to follow lines, but inevitably bump it.
This is one I remember enjoying discussing in high school. It's probably worth a reread these days, be me and many others...
