Farmers should be taught about the national curriculum, so that they can stop talking shite.
juneussell.bsky.social
There’s a school round our way that runs its own farm.

This is a fascinating one-sided conversation - I’ve blocked him.

I used to hate youth clubs.

Tbh I’d rather have no flagging at all.

Yes but people who become 67 in coming years will have experienced IT all their lives; they will have used it for work and/or play. They won’t have long lives behind them that didn’t include it.

We could be inside looking out. You think they’d love that.

Ah, the ‘fell on a fruit bowl’ excuse 😜
juneussell.bsky.social
That’s very true. But it’s also true that it didn’t start to become interwoven into people’s ordinary lives (unless they worked with it) until 15 or 20 years ago. Then it took hold really quickly, of course.

I’m glad you’re specifying over 80s.

Many would have us too elderly for IT at 60.

If they use a bank to withdraw cash, they’ll know.
Most of us don’t. I use Apple pay myself.

Well, he’s in a position to, isn’t he? He can say what he likes.

In 2013, when we had the Coalition, the referendum was opposed *as a tactic* both within/without government, but there was no desire/push to leave from any major party, only individual MPs

Campaigning in 2016 wasn’t run on strictly party political lines either.

We are much more polarised now.

It would also need to be a cross party request.

In the last week, Donald Trump has insisted that there are no more stores left in war-ravaged Portland, asserted that Joe Biden was president during the January 6th insurrection, hosted conspiracy theorists for an "Antifa" summit, and said he'd consider pardoning his good friend the sex trafficker.

Threads is hard to beat for wall-to-wall silliness. There’s still not enough of that here.

Shame not everyone did. Looks like the merry go round is off again.

If they could be sure that the most fractious and EU suspicious country in Western Europe wouldn’t just flounce off again following a change of government.
