We argue that overview is not a static feature of tech—it’s a situated achievement shaped by data work, professional roles, and organizational boundaries.

If you're working on digital health, chronic care, or STS—let’s connect!

SAMBLIK promises seamless data access. But overview isn’t just about access—it’s about trust, relevance, and context.
Sometimes it helps. Sometimes it adds to the burden. Sometimes it’s ignored.
Based on ethnographic fieldwork, we identify 4 enactments of overview via SAMBLIK:
1️⃣ Expedient overview
2️⃣ Glancing overview
3️⃣ Care-continuum overview
4️⃣ Non-overview
Each reflects different data experiences & clinical realities.
In Denmark, health data is in principle available across sectors. But many clinicians still feel the overview is missing.
We ask: What does “overview” actually mean in practice? And how is it enacted through data work?
🔍 New article out!
“All the data you need” – Striving for “Overview” in cross-sectoral chronic disease management.
Henriette Langstrup & I explore how digital tools like SAMBLIK shape care in Danish diabetes management.

We started working on this in 2021 and there is *finally* a physical copy of the book in my hand. It feels great that other people can now read all the great work that's in this collection.

It is available as a free e-book and in paperback:

There have been attempts internationally, indeed. What I find interesting is how those experiences and knowledge might not be incorporated into a Danish context, with a lack of organisational support and ideas about prober practice which could reproduce diamental ways of doing PPI.
Just presented a working paper at #BSAmedsoc
Who gets socially on during PPI in health research?
My study of PPI at two Danish research panels often privileges white, middle-class citizens while working-class voices struggle with hidden barriers like academic jargon.

Hej Gritt! Jeg tænker at det kommer med tiden. Jeg ser at flere forskningscentre viser lokalt interesse for det - og så må vi lokalt give en hånd med at vise hvordan det er muligt at overfører ens opslag og de personer man fra Twitter hertil gennem!

A key step in fighting the Trump admin's attacks on higher education specifically and democracy more broadly is to say as clearly as we can that we share values that are meaningful and that we will not stand by while our institutions are destroyed.

You can do that here:

Great to see you here, Daniel. (and your dog ofc!
So great! Could you add me :-)
There is something about qualitative research that is not easily replaced by AI either! For example, with interviews, transcription models do often not include tonation, pauses and other important signifiers for a great interview.

Thread for those new to BlueSky. First of all, welcome. It feels like a safer space, doesn’t it? But also perhaps a bit disorienting initially? Here’s some tips for getting your bearings.
Could you please add me :-)

Couldn't find a starter pack for #PublicInvolvement #PPI #Coproduction & participatory health and care research so I started one.
If you're not on this and would like to be and/or have suggestions of others to add let me know.
Or indeed if you know of a starter pack I've missed

ICYMI: the #SkyFollowerBridge tool is an amazingly simple way to find and follow your old Twitter connections!
For those moving from Twitter to Bluesky the #SkyFollowerBridge extension for Chrome and Firefox is a very easy way to find people who you followed on Twitter.

Download and run the extension with your Twitter 'following' page open, and it finds suggested matches to follow (with a click) on Bluesky!
