Today is World IVF Day, and I want to share with you our daughter’s first ever photo💜

This was our one and only embryo, and we are going to meet her in September. This process is heartbreaking and impossibly beautiful and hopeful.

I want everyone to have the access and choices that we did.

The other day I was teaching about music as torture and showed images from Abu Ghraib. My students-too young or not born at the time-were shocked that this happened.

A reminder that one day we will all have to answer for the atrocities of our fellow Americans who were “just following orders.”
