SUNSET CARD BATTLER is a tokusatsu love letter by way of Canada and Brazil, with equal amounts of rubber-suited monsters and raw emotion.

Manga panels with tokusatsu heroes fighting monsters, ala Kamen Rider, Ultraman, Gridman the Hyper Agent, Super Sentai, and Power Rangers.

I like the defined structure of classic tokusatsu shows like Ultraman (1966) and the easy-to-follow but very imaginative rules. Directors like Akio Jissoji could play around with their episodes in very artistic ways without straying too far from the format.
