Because of the Constitutionality? Absolutely not, we all know they don't care about that.

But 2A is such a core issue for so much of their base, even though they'd love to take guns from groups they don't like, they think twice when it comes to 'gov take guns' because they know it's a powder keg.

Partially that's because the nature of social media algorithms is that they prompt people to say stupid divisive stuff, but also there's the simple fact that it's hard to maintain an organizational structure if literally everyone is constantly tempted to split off and form a coalition of one.
