"Anything else you’re interested in is not going to happen if you can’t breathe the air and drink the water. Don’t sit this one out. Do something. You are by accident of fate alive at an absolutely critical moment in the history of our planet." — Carl Sagan

This changes everything!

The Northern Hemisphere used to radiate more heat to space than it absorbed from the sun, but this changed over the past 20 years.

The Kyiv Independent spent several days with one of the International Battalion of Ukraine’s Azov Corps' drone crews to document how these foreign fighters have integrated into Ukraine’s ranks and adapted to modern drone warfare.

Musk is committed to bringing down the democratically-elected U.K government and, alongside turning Twitter into a megaphone for his deeply sinister worldview, he’s using the full force of his billionaire’s cheque book to fund our democracy’s enemies.

The destination is clear. The timing is not.

We are systematically redirecting a deeply flawed energy system built on dependence and combustion to one built on European investment, resilience and efficiency.

I’ve noticed X is now full of right wing politics grads making money off tweets bemoaning our long lost history of designing and constructing heavy infrastructure and grand buildings.

Do they realise *they* could have just studied engineering?

Easier to tweet than do, though. Amirite?

One of the big misconceptions about class in Britain is that the working class are noisy and boorish while the middle class are mannerly & respectful.

In public settings, I consistently find the upper middle class to be the noisiest, space-hungriest, & most domineering social group.

For my next decree, wonderful adventure playgrounds for every child in the land.

Public luxury, from the cradle to the grave.

🔴 The Great X-Tinction: Why My Time's Up On Twitter

"Media companies, governments and public figures are pretending to themselves that it will all get better. It won't. The Twitter many of us joined is dead and, while X is not yet, it should be" @ottoenglish.bsky.social

The Palestinians have been bombed and starved into submission, tens of thousands of people are dead, and entire cities have been reduced to rubble.

Trump didn’t ‘end’ any war; the Israelis have won one. Maybe total victory was the only way a resolution could be achieved, but Trump is no peacemaker.

Well done to all the brilliant local councillors who have lowered the speed limits their roads to 20mph - often in the face of much hostility.

There is now irrefutable evidence to show your bold decisions are saving lives.

Thank you!

The parasites drawn to these ‘give me some money for patriotism’ campaigns are ALWAYS the same.

I, for one, am shocked that one of the world’s biggest climate villains is allying himself with a Party led by global warming deniers.

EU membership was no barrier to exporting waste to the developing world and Brexit doesn’t specifically promote this practice.

Feeling pretty pleased at cleaning, wet & dry sanding, and oiling two chipped and paint/nail varnish spattered solid oak Habitat Radius chairs I picked up on EBay. #reducereuserecycle

*I would add that the destabilising nature of recent immigration has not merely been felt in the U.K, but in - for example - the health outcomes of every country from whom the NHS has persistently poached clinicians.

It is in no way contradictory to hold the view that immigration - from the Romans to the Huguenots to the Irish and the Green Lanes Kurds - has brought many benefits, but that recent immigration has been too high and socially destabilising*, and that U.K citizens should decide who can settle here.

As Chair of the North London Waste Authority’s Member Recycling Board I prohibited export of recyclates beyond the U.K, except for glass and card, which I prohibited from being exported beyond Europe.

Brexit - which has been a disaster - isn’t the main or even partial issue in this instance.
