100%! We're a team of two with no artist working on our game Sparrow Warfare at the moment & I'm having the BEST fun remixing, collaging, recolouring & vectorising public domain art to make our bird tiles! It also feels like bringing little fragments of the past into the future.

i really like that sense of having a historical footing: we're using a pencil sketch from 1598 as a logo for the next game

For anyone looking for art to use and remix that's entirely free:

Charles Cecil says that using AI to upscale artwork for Broken Sword: Reforged was a mistake. "The result was not enormously satisfactory," he says. Instead, Revolution ended up redrawing the backgrounds from scratch, using the original artwork as a reference.

For the Shadow of the Colossus story, we interviewed 14 people including project leads Fumito Ueda and Kenji Kaido, hired Gravity Rush concept artist Takeshi Oga to illustrate the cover, and put together a 10,000-word story with help from @milkman.bsky.social @shmuplations.bsky.social and others.

No one should give a reform politician the whip for the obvious reason
edjennings.bsky.social
Another one falls in Kent.

Reform has suspended county councillor Robert Ford after a complaint was made about him by 'several female members of staff.'

The party said that Cllr Ford refused to engage with the complaints process, so he has had the whip removed pending a disciplinary process.

Very specific to narrative designers but

In honor of spooky month, share a 4 word horror story that only someone in your profession would understand

I'll go first: Six page commercial lease.

It’s certainly very specific

"gymnast to house painter" is a fantastic profession, but personally I am in fact an "invisible net maker", as is every other narrative designer

Job occupations, from an 1881 census. Every one of these sounds like something a sorely provoked Captain Haddock would should at someone in times of heavy stress.

it's also an industry with a very long timescale to any change. nothing's going to really get better in a year or even two. but at least the owner's motivation is hopefully more aligned with the passenger's desires

Great web-template for ink stories; nicely designed with a lot of out of the box features!

I have a big backlog project written in Ink, which stalled a while back as I couldn't quite get everything I wanted working. I was looking through the InkJam resources list and this web template was listed.

Does pretty much everything I need!
