Much talk on Sky re the narrowness of Delhi GC. No mention of how playing the course the way it was designed to be played has eliminated the driver. How much more interesting would it be if the players needed to use the longest club in the bag? What we are watching is an inferior product.

While it makes perfect sense for Rory to not carry a driver this week, it is hard not to feel this is just one more example of how golf at the elite level has lost its way. Most blame, of course, is owned by the USGA and the R&A for their collective incompetence in the technology department 🤷‍♂️

Pate way more controversial. Played after being involved in car crash. Then decided he couldn’t play in singles only after the draw was made. Funnily enough, the best player in euro team ended up against worst US player 😃
