I am only doing this so my 75-year-old mother doesn't feel obliged to* while I am in the hospital. Because the thought of her scrubbing the bathroom floor fills me with such filial shame.

*and she would feel obliged to. She once scrubbed my KETTLE while waiting for me to write a quick work email.

As a kid I thought there was something morally and intellectually damaged, possibly feral, about me, because I thought housework was just the most tedious thing in the entire damn world, but I was surrounded by adverts showing pretty smiling ladies enjoying their shining floor-tiles.

The pens are going to need a really good clean before they'll let ink run through them again. It might be worth emailing Tom's Studio for advice on how to do it without making the problem worse.

Is it Tom's Studio Ink 60? Because yes, that should be fine in a fountain pen. The calligraphy one would not be, and I'm afraid the India ink definitely would not be. If you used the India in the same pen it'd clog even if you then switched to 'safe' ink.

You can get nib cleaning solution from them

Oh I am so sorry but those inks are BAD for fountain pens. They dry up in the nib and clog them solid so they stop working. They're for use with dip calligraphy pens only. You need ink that's specially for fountain pens. I am really sorry no one warned you!
