Panel 2 & 3: Person 2 says: "Yes, I'm calling it the jigsaw model. I think it could change our whole View of reality."
Panel 4: Person 1 says "When Will you publish?:
Panel 5: Person 2 says "But a couple of things are still bothering me." (this piece/panel is a bit squint)
Panel 6: This piece is rotated ninety degees and fits to the others very badly. Person 2 is saying "Soon. I feel like I'm really close"
A second look at the whole comic shows that the last two panels read in the wrong order because the jigsaw has been put together incorrectly.

Aus gegebenem Anlass: Unser neues Dossier thematisiert Geschlechterungleichheiten im Wissenschaftssystem – von den historischen Wurzeln der Differenzkategorien über die politische Semantik der Exzellenz bis hin zu alltäglichen Mechanismen.

Zu sehen ist das Titelbild des Dossiers mit der Überschrift "Wissenschaftlerinnen. Zur Situation von Frauen in Academia". Abgebildet ist eine weibliche Person am Schreibtisch, vor ihr ein Laptop, diverse wissenschaftliche Bücher, über die die Person gebeugt auf dem Tisch liegt, die Hand noch an der Kaffeetasse, scheinbar sehr erschöpft. By my count from last year, this should now make it 12 men named John who were awarded the Nobel, versus a total of five women (of any name). 🧪

Dass die Kampagne gegen #BrosiusGersdorf sich als erfolgreich erwiesen hat, ist besorgniserregend. Wie ihre Entscheidung zu bewerten ist, scheint mir dabei 1 nachgelagerte Frage — zentraler ist Rolle von Politik & Medien, die dringend aufgearbeitet werden muss, damit sowas nicht zur Regel wird.

Kritik an Ministerin Bärs unsäglichen Äußerungen zu #BrosiusGersdorf kommt nun auch aus der SPD: Wiebke Esdar äußert sich angemessen deutlich zur Bedrohung der #Wissenschaftsfreiheit durch die Angriffe & zeigt sich mehr als erstaunt über mangelnde Solidarität aufseiten der Ministerin. Richtig so!

Die Sozialdemokratin Esdar sagte, sie erwarte von Bär eine wissenschaftspolitische Führung des Diskurses. »Es ist traurig und erschütternd, dass Frau Brosius-Gersdorf ihren Mitarbeitenden aufgrund von Drohungen raten muss, nicht mehr ins Büro zu kommen. Das ist inakzeptabel und eine spürbare Bedrohung der Wissenschaftsfreiheit in Deutschland.«
Es sei darum »mehr als erstaunlich, dass die zuständige Ministerin der Betroffenen in dieser Situation lediglich Selbstkritik nahelegt«, so Esdar.
»In einer Lage, in der die Wissenschaft bedroht ist, wäre mindestens Solidarität die angemessene Reaktion gewesen.«
