The bone buddies enjoy running right at me with their mouths open, as if they're going to bite my ankle, but they always end up veering between my legs or cartwheeling away at the last second.

As the bone buddies dance and chatter their teeth and celebrate, the moonlit air around them grows a pale green. Every so often, one of them looks at me and points at the top of their head, expressing a sense of urgency that they need a hat.

The fact that protests now feature people who don’t normally have to worry about what might happen to them in an adverse encounter with security forces is a HUGE DEAL.

It means that the “real” victims don’t have to suffer alone. It means that some people care about something more than themselves

I saw a beautiful, colossal owl sweeping across the dimming sky while I was sipping on a fruit boba, carrying a plastic bag full of homunculus-sized plastic skeletons.
