I really appreciate your thoughtful approach. If premature venting of short term rage gives them a long term PR win and an excuse to escalate, that’s an own goal on us.

Despite our current circumstances and my pessimistic nature, I absolutely agree with Graff.

It won’t be easy, but if we keep faith with each other and hold fast to the American dream of a more perfect union, something very, very good may yet come out of all this.

Cops led us into the street as the new “protest zone” and then beat us repeatedly.

Got hit in the face with a baton. Leaving to pick up my friends who were arrested.

Stay safe out there.

While pondering Greene’s chameleon-like behavior, it’s worth remembering that a closely divided Congress strips power from reliable party loyalists and hands it to “last vote” fence sitters whose primary motivation is often personal gain. See: Joe Manchin.

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing? 2? Questions I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up. Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?
