"Gunner Stockton, the question for many entering the season, has been solid. The bigger question is the defense, which is mostly responsible for those slow starts before rallying in the second half."

Accurate, even though I'd lower their grade from B- to C+.

I'm not a numbers nerd but this is going to be very good.

Update: Just got the official word that my book on the economics of stadium subsidies This One Will Be Different has moved into production at Oxford University Press. I don't have a set timeline yet, but it will hopefully be out by fall 2026.

This reminds me of that time then-Falcons coach Jim Mora was caught/seen using smelling salts on the sideline, only this is funny and that just added to the list of why Mora was a knucklehead as a coach.

Just going by your declarative statement but moving on.

Huge win by the Falcons but I have no idea what Josh Allen was doing there.

The Falcons’ offense has been bleeding the clock. I feel like anything in life is now possible.

Republican lawmakers in North Carolina announced plans on Monday to redraw the state’s already gerrymandered congressional maps to further favor their party. The most likely target is the First Congressional District, which has the state’s only competitive House seat.

I rarely watch Monday night football anymore so I didn’t realize Chris Berman was still on TV, so I have to ask: Why?

You can’t tell Drake London to stop when he sees the goal-line. I understand second-guessing but I don’t have a problem with that effort.

I’ll be honest: I thought Josh Allen would throw for 400 and 3 TDs tonight and the Falcons would lose by 2 TDs. Another good night to not be in a sports book. I’d be eating half of a cold hotdog that somebody left on the table.

The pre-comma is evergreen.

I understand the doubts about the Falcons overall but as I’ve said from Day 1, I like Michael Penix. That throw and execution tonight has been great

I’m not there but it sure sounds like it.

The same schools that claim their women’s and Olympic sports are being slashed are the same ones doling out over $200 million in buyouts to college football coaches.

Don't fall for it.

Both of these things can be true:

1. Auburn was on the bad side of some questionable, controversial calls last night.

2. Auburn lost not because of that, but because it didn't handle that well, as Hugh Freeze and players basically admitted.

Auburn-Georgia officiating was a mess. But it wasn’t the only reason the Tigers lost
Auburn had control of the game against Georgia — until it lost control, after a series of calls that didn’t go its way.
